Sa Pagkilala Nagatubo ang Paghigugma

ng aton mga nagliligad indi gid

sarang malipatan.
Indi na ina
naton maligwat apang makahatag
sang pagtulun-an nga makapabaylo sang
aton panimuot kag pamatasan. Ining
aton mga inagihan kon kaisa madugay
nga nagapabilin sa aton panghunahuna,
nagabalik-balik, kag ginahalinan pa gani
sang aton balatian, kasubong sang nerbyos,
indi pagkahamtang kag pagtaas sang dugo.
Ini tanan daku nga panghangkat sa aton
kay kinahanglan indi kita magpabilin sa
amo nga kahimtangan kundi magbaton sini
tanan sing may pagtuo.
Ang aton mga nagliligad mahimo man
naton magamit nga pamaagi padulong
sa isa ka matawhay kag malinong nga
pagpanglakaton sa dalan sang pagtuo.
Kasubong sang mga sumulunod sadto ni
Jesus, may mga inagihan man sila nga daw
indi sarang masaysay sa ila pagpanglakaton.
Indi sila mapahamtang sadto sa ila paglakat
kay ginakulbaan sila. Abi nila si Jesus na ang
ila manluluwas, apang napatay Sia. Gani,
ang ila pagpanglakaton puno sing kasubo,

si Jesus?
Samtang

ginpaathag ang tanan nga natabo sa Iya
kabuhi, nga ang tanan katumanan sang
gintagna sang mga propeta kag pagsunod
sa nakasaad sa Balaan nga Kasulatan. Pagabot sa ila kaladtuan, sanglit nagaamat
na sirom, gin-agda na lang nila Sia nga
magpalipas sang gab-i upod sa ila.
Sang buot na sila magkaon, ginpihak
ni Jesus ang tinapay kag ihatag sa ila.
Daku ang ila kahayanghag kag kakibot
kay amo gid ini ang ginhimo ni Jesus sang
ulihi nila nga pagpanyapon. Didto kag
ila natalupangdan nga ang tao gali nga
upod nila nga nagapanglakaton wala sing
liwan kundi si Jesus. Ugaling dungan sang
pagkakilala nila nga Sia si Jesus nadula Sia
sa gilayon sa ila panulokan. Kanugon no?

Ara na gid ang kahigayunan nga kaupod

nila si Jesus wala pa nila makilal-i.
Amo man sini ang nagakatabo sa aton.
Wala naton makilala ukon ayhan nagkulang
kita sa pagkilala sa Iya. Nadumduman

kay nauna na ang mga barangay kapitan.
Sanglit madamo sila, nagpabilin sila nga
nagatindog sa atubang sang mayor. Ang

iya nagakursimano, kag ang iban pa gid
masako sa pagsugilanonay sa ila upod.
Iban iya nagatindog nga daw mga lay-od.
Nakita ini tanan sang mayor gani nairitar
sia. Siling niya, Daw sa wala lang sa inyo
nga ara ako sa inyo atubangan ba. Sin-o
ako? Pangbukas nga pamangkot niya.

ANG SAKRAMENTO SANG PAGHAPLAS SANG LANA SA MASAKITON

ni nga Sakramento sarang mahatag sa

isa ka binunyagan nga nakalambot na
sa husto nga edad kag ara sa peligro
sang kamatayon tungod sang balatian
ukon katigulangon. Ginapanugyan nga
indi na maghulat nga nagatagumatayon
na kag magpangayo sang sini nga
Sakramento. Ang Sakramento wala sing
gahom sang magic nga sa pagdapat sini,
ang pasyente magaayo sa gilayon. Indi
man ini isa ka hilingagawon nga bulohaton
nga makapaseguro sang kaluwasan sang
tawo. Ini nga Sakramento nagahatag sa
masakiton sang grasya sang Espiritu Santo
nga paagi sini ang iya bug-os nga pagkatawo
ginadala sa ikaayong lawas, nagapabakod
sang pagsalig sa Dios kag nagahatag sang
kapag-on batok sa pagsulay sang yawa, kag
nagapaisog sa pag-atubang sa kamatayon.
Gani, dapat nga sa pagsugod pa lang
sang peligro sang kamatayon magpatawag
na sang pari. Ihanda ang pila ka mga
butang nga kinahanglanon pareho sang
isa ka diotay nga altar nga sarang
mapahamtangan sang mga Krusipiho,
tubig nga bendita, kag kandila pero labaw

ka mga okasyon, konsultahon ang isa ka
manugbulong nahanungod sa kondisyon

magpangayo sang sini nga Sakramento.
Ang Sakramento sarang mahatag liwat
kon ang masakiton nag-ayo na sa balatian

ang sitwasyon naggrabe pa gid. Antes sang
isa ka delikado nga operasyon, dapat man
hatagan sang Sakramento ang masakiton
kon ang balatian amo ang rason sang pagopera sa iya. Ang mga tigulang dapat man
hatagan sang Sakramento kon maluya
na sila bisan pa nga wala sing malala nga

balatian. Pati ang mga kabataan nga may

masakit sarang man mahaplasan sang lana
kon ara na sila sa husto nga edad kag may
kaugalingon na nga buot.
Kon patay na ang masakiton sa pagabot sang pari, ang iya dapat himuon
amo ang magpangamuyo para sa tawo
nga napatay agud nga patawaron sang
Dios ang iya mga sala kag batunon sia
sa Iya Ginharian. Indi na kinahanglan
nga hatagan sia sang Sakramento sang
Paghaplas sang Lana tungod kay patay na
ang tawo. Pero kon nagaduda ang pari kon
bala patay na ukon buhi pa, sarang man
niya ini mahatagan sang Sakramento pero
kondisyonal lamang.
Ang pari amo lamang ang ministro sang
sini nga Sakramento sa Paghaplas sang
Lana sa masakiton. Lakip na diri ang mga
Obispo, ang mga Kura Paroko kag ila mga
manugbulig nga kaparian, ang mga pari nga
nagatatap sa masakiton kag mga tigulang
sa mga ospital, kag ang mga manugdumala
sang mga pari nga relihiyoso. Ini nga mga
ministro may katungdanan sa paghanda
sang mga nagamasakit kag sa pagselebrar
sang Sakramento.

mga aplikante. Pagkatapos nga mahibaluan
naton kon sin-o ang nakapasar, padayunon
naton ang screening paagi sa mga series of
interviews kag background investigation.

Mahimo nga maangot ko man ang mga
ini sa aton pag-atubang kay Ginoong Jesus
sa Santos nga Misa. Daw kasubong man
kita sang Iya mga gintutun-an nga kaupod
na nila si Jesus apang wala pa nila makilalan. Kita man, gina-updan ni Ginoong Jesus
sa bilog naton nga kabuhi, apang daw sa
wala lang sa aton. Madumduman lang
naton Sia kon may pangayuon kita. Ini nga
pamatasan daw kasubong man nga wala
naton Sia makilala sing maayo.
Kon ara kita upod sa Iya sa Eukaristiya,
daw wala lang sa bungog naton. Nangin
mekanikal ang aton mga sabat sa Misa. Ara
man matuod kita nga nagapasakop sa Misa
apang ang aton pensar nagalagaw. Iban sa
aton nakakorsemano, kon hinali magtunog
ang cell phone, dayon man naton sabat. May
ara man nga wala untat ang paghutikay sa
sulod sang Misa.

his catechesis: the differences
between men and women, and how they
complement each other.
God creates man and woman in
his own image and likeness. Not only
man, not only woman, but also the two
together. The difference between them is
not for competition or domination. Instead,
reciprocity is needed for communion and
for procreation in the image and likeness of
God. This complementary nature is the basis
of the family and lifelong unions, sustained
by the grace of God. Human beings are made
to listen and help each other.

30-year old single mother from Cabanatuan,
Nueva Ecija, as well as other OFWs who
have run afoul with the law in their host
countries, the proper hearing everyone
deserves.

due process. While I do respect the laws of

with Gods help, its much easier to face

only a matter of time before were carried
downstream.

time to reveal whats truly on your heart
unabashed faith in God or convenient
Christianity. Its easy to love Godor

For humans to know each other

well and grow in harmony, the Pope
said, they need reciprocity between man
and woman. He recalled that when one
party tries to dominate over the other,
problems arise, which is why the solution
is complementarity, not the removal of the
differences.
I wonder, for example, if the so-called
Theory of Gender is not an expression
of frustration and resignation, looking to
cancel sexual difference because one cannot
confront the other. Yes: We are in danger of
taking a step backwards. The cancellation
of the difference is the problem, not the
solution.

The Pope gave advice for how to solve

relationship problems: He said that men
and women should speak more, be heard
and understood, and should treat each
other with respect. That, according to the
Pope, leads to a successful lifelong union.
He also proposed two lines of action.
We need to do much more in favor of
women. Not just to recognize them more,
but instead to give their voice real power
and effective authority in society and in the
Church.
His second suggestion is to rediscover
the beauty of Gods creative design.
He added that the crisis of not trusting
God could be directly linked to the crisis
between man and woman.

begin misfiring? Do we immediately start
blaming God? Shaking an angry fist at
heaven? Enter into a constant refrain of

This is when we get to prove that
what we saythat we trust in God and

going to provide and care for you? Or
do you think He is going to desert you?
Be More Generous
You may have it rough right now, but
no matter how difficult it is, you probably
know someone who has it rougher than
you do. And needy people surround us. So,

give what you have.

While this seems counterintuitive to
our survival instinct of hold on to what
you have, following God means that
sometimes we have readjust our natural
instinct. Jesus said, Give, and it will be
given to you. A good measure, pressed
down, shaken together and running over,
will be poured into your lap. For with the
measure you use, it will be measured to
you (Luke 6:38).
If you dont have money, give your
time. Give yourself. Give of what youve got
to encourage one another.

fter the Lenten season we feel

closer to Jesus and the Blessed
Virgin, after sharing with them their
sufferings, in their desire to save us from
eternal damnation. Last April 12, was the
Feast of Jesus, the Divine Mercy.
When God the Father saw that we
were becoming worldly, He sent His only
son, Jesus, to save us. Since Jesus as God,
could not suffer and die, He came down
to earth as man, and at the age of thirty
three, suffered and died for us.
Today, the world has become so
modern and abusive that those who want
to live in peace, could hardly bear the
pain. The Catholic Church is trying its best
to keep us in line with Gods teaching and
desires but since we fall short of personnel,
we are trying our best to live within the
circle of obedience and devotion.
I am very thankful that the prayer
group of God the Father in Don Benito,
under the leadership of Sis. Carol Hautea
and Bro. Protacio had succeeded in
consecrating the devotion to God the
Father at home, and had given us a life
filled with hope and strength through His
inspiration.

calling on my life, I return to the basics

of what I know: praying more, studying
Scripture with more devotion, sharing my
struggles with others.
Its important to remain planted by
Gods life-giving stream. Apart from Him,
we cant do anythingits mere striving in
our own strength. And this type of striving
isnt sustainable.
To face a fallen world, we need a
risen King. Staying connected to God
and His leading and direction for our
lives is a must when its easy to get
distracted with the little foxes of the day.
Turn Back the Dial
In our fast-paced technology-driven
world, we sometimes get so wrapped
up in the latest fad on the Internet or
technology device that it consumes our
time. During difficult times, its important
to power down and connect face to face
with people. Sharing our hardships with
others gives us encouragement and lets
us know that were not alone in this plight.
Its also no secret that during World
War II, many Americans planted victory
gardens as a way to alleviate some of
the pressure on food production. Not
only is it therapeutic to spend time in a
garden enjoying the fruits that come with
nurturing life, its also a great way to save
money.
Make a Smaller Footprint
When life gets tough, its natural to
take an inventory of our lives. We take a

inclement weather, I go to the altar and
plead with the Father to protect us from
natural disasters. He hears, He listens. He
gives.
Last Easter Sunday, I went to my usual
place in Church and prayed while waiting
fo the Mass to begin. The Church was
filling up and all the pews were crowded.
It turned out that the pew in front of me
was filled with both old and young, and
in front of me was a middle-aged woman
who was seated between a woman and a
couple.
We were disturbed when after Holy
Communion, the woman who was seated
in front of me, sagged in her seat, and her
head was drooping. She was closing her
eyes and was gradually losing her balance.
The man who was beside his wife stood up
to help her, my son who was also beside
me joined him and the woman who was on
the same pew with me, fanned her. I told
them to hold her as she sat and I placed
my palms over her head as I prayed over
he. I asked God the Father to restore her
senses and her strength. She had no one
with her and I pleaded with our Father to
be with her. In less than twenty minutes
she recovered and she told me that she

really need this? And we make decisions
that are oftentimes painful to us.
We should also do this with our energy
and time. Evaluate where you are spending
your time and energy as well and make
reductions accordingly. Creating more
time and space for things that matter in life
will give you the freedom and courage to
do things you may have previously thought
of a mere dream.
We need to make a smaller
footprint
with

lives.
Make a Bigger Handprint
Consequently, we should take the
extra time and energy we create and give
a portion of it away, doing something like
helping the poor and needy. Viewing the

to the icon of God the Father, and offered
my thanks.
After some time, my daughter called
me that her companion in the Learning
Center was feeling well after my praying
over. I told her that I will give one copy
of the manual to her and that they must
develop a devotion to Him. And so have a
new devotion. Pray to the Father, He hears,
He listens, He gives.
world through the perspective that there is
more to life than yourself is not only healthy
but nourishing to the soul. Its being Christlike in the way you approach life.
By reaching out to others, we keep
our hearts connected to the reality of the
need in this world and pushes us more
intentionally to serve and not withdraw.
When we do this, we make a bigger
handprint on the world around us and
demonstrate in a powerful way Gods love
for others.
Keep your Faith
Even if youre in a place of extreme
difficulty and your problems consume your
thoughts, we must remember not to live
out of a place of fear and defeat. It is during
these times that we need to respond with
faith and generosity.
The Apostle Paul exhorted the church
in Macedonia for the way they were
responding to the difficulties of their day:
And now, brothers, we want you to
know about the grace that God has given
the Macedonian churches. Out of the most
severe trial, their overflowing joy and
their extreme poverty welled up in rich
generosity. For I testify that they gave as
much as they were able, and even beyond
their ability. ( 2 Corinthians 8:1-3)
Endeavor to do the same in your life,
no matter how difficult times may be, and
watch God lift you out of despair with His
everlasting hope.
