Building therapeutic relationships with patients and their families. Your are very friendly, caring and approachable 2. Providing patient’s with their AM care, transferring patients when needed and giving patients showers. 3. Checking and dispensing medications, including giving heparin injections and insulin pens. 4, Wound care including changing dressing using aseptic technique. Communicating with your fellow students, clinical teachers and staff. 6. Always being open to learning new skills. I think you could develop further in the following areas: 1. Continue learning nursing skills that you have not been exposed to yet. Such as tracheostomy care, IV therapy and dispensing nebulizers. 2. Perfecting the head to toe assessment.
