STAT 1000-08 Course Forum Posts Instructions

Fall Quarter 2014

Forum Posts Objective


Regular forum posts will be expected from each student and are intended to provide practice
with course content. Forum posts will also expose students to additional concepts through
the self-guided exploration of real-world utilization of statistical concepts.

Submitting Forum Posts


Forum posts should be submitted by 11:59 PM each Sunday through the STAT 1000-08
Blackboard page (available at https://bb.csueastbay.edu/) using the appropriate Discussion Forum designated for each week of the course and should minimally contain
the full title of a news story published between September 2014 and December 2014
that includes extensive use of statistical concepts,
a complete URL that allows access to the full text of the article without requiring any
type of login credentials,
a one to three sentence synopsis of the article and its statistical content, and
a one to three sentence explanation for why you chose the article or found it interesting.
