Regular forum posts will be expected from each student and are intended to provide practice with course content. Forum posts will also expose students to additional concepts through the self-guided exploration of real-world utilization of statistical concepts.
Submitting Forum Posts
Forum posts should be submitted by 11:59 PM each Sunday through the STAT 1000-08 Blackboard page (available at https://bb.csueastbay.edu/) using the appropriate Discussion Forum designated for each week of the course and should minimally contain the full title of a news story published between September 2014 and December 2014 that includes extensive use of statistical concepts, a complete URL that allows access to the full text of the article without requiring any type of login credentials, a one to three sentence synopsis of the article and its statistical content, and a one to three sentence explanation for why you chose the article or found it interesting.
