Knightdale, NC 27545 February 22, 2015 Dear parents/guardians of Ms. Hunter's 4th grade class, I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself as I will begin my student teaching experience working with your students this coming school year. My name is Jeffrey Mohr and I am a Master's of Arts in Teaching for Elementary Education student at NCState University. Prior to working on my Masters I graduated from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro with a degree in Anthropology with a focus in Forensic Anthropology. For the past three years it has been my pleasure to work as a Community Skills Instructor with the Autism Society of North Carolina and as a Direct Care staff member at Talisman Summer camp which specializes in working with children that have High Functioning Autism, ADHD and/or other Learning Differences. It is my genuine pleasure to be able to work with you and your children this school year along with my Cooperating Teacher Ms. Hunter. I hope to be able to work with you and you child to create a partnership team that will actively work to aid in the academic growth and development of your child in the classroom. I believe that a team approach can help students that may be struggling as both parents/guardians, the teachers, and the student can all be on the same page and can collaboratively work to support the students needs both at home and in the school. Thank you for your time and I look forward to working with all of you and your amazing students.
