longitude of the Sun at time of birth or Prasna.
These Grahas are devoid of splendor, are malefic by nature and cause affliction. The method of calculating these non luminous
planets is as under:

Vyatipata (Pata)
= 360d Dhuma
Paridhi (Parivesha)
= 180d + Vyatipata
Chapa (Indrachapa/ Kodanda) = 360d Paridhi
Upaketu
= 16d 40 + Chapa
