2016 Ferrari 488 GTB

The powerful successor to Ferrari 458 Italia has been introduced. The fact that
Ferrari 488 is primarily a racing car is not supposed to be an impediment for a
non-professional driver to enjoy the sensation it offers to the fullest.

Exterior
Even at first glance, its apparent that exterior design was inspired by its
predecessor; especially when you obeserve the front: the bumper, the headlamps
and the way the fenders are shaped. A new splitter design gives it a less smooth
and a more aggressive look. The tailights have been redesigned to be a bit larger,
with the grilles that look like dark-surrounded hollows. Instead of the three-pipe
exhaust, there are two huge outlets placed on the sides of the center section of
the diffuser. Finally, theres a whole new, sophisticated aerodynamic underbody.

Interior
The interior is, much like the exterior, reminiscent of 458 Italia. Some of the
newly introduced features are the center console of minimalistic design with
much less buttons, the separation of the tunnel and the dashboard, and the new,
original cozy seats. Also, new design of the key allows keyless starts.

Engine
Its new 3902 cc V8 turbo is at the top of its class for power output, torque and
response times.
Overall displacement is 3.9 l.
The engine releases 670 cv at 8,000 rpm along with 760 Nm of maximum torque
in seventh gear and a response time to the accelerator of just 0.8 seconds at
2,000 rpm.
The 488 GTB can develop acceleration 0-200 km/h within incredible 8.3 seconds.
The maximum speed this model is able to develop is 330 km/h.
The gearbox features Variable Torque Management which unleashes the engine's
massive torque smoothly and powerfully right across the rev range.
As per usual, Ferrari's engineers have put a great effort into perfecting the 488
GTB's sound, thus creating a full, clear and distinguished soundtrack.
The Ferrari 488 GTB's electronic controls make its power and performance
instantly available and controllable. It is, in fact, the most responsive production
model there is, with unbelievably sharp response times.
