" eid, alee In this article a modest attempt has been made to define and explain Sunnah Taqgririah and its mature and authority and legal status in hadith literatue, By the term Taqrir is meant that somebody amongst Sahabah if said something or performed some deed in a particular manner in Prophet's presence or his saying and act came to the notice of the Prophet and the latter comfirmed it by expressing his approval in clear words or remained silent. This silent approval of the Prophet is called Tagrir. Tagrir has three constituents: (a) Mudirr ys is the Prophet bid) himself. (b) Mugarr iu is is the Companion (Sahabi) who said something or acted in the Prophet's presence (c) Mugarr bihi Hy pis is the saying and the deed said or performed by the companion and confirmed by the Prophet. There is consensus among the Jurists and Muhadditheen (traditionists) that Tagrir carries authority and enjoys legal status.
