Commentary: As shown above, this image shows the cost breakdown of sponsoring a team for
just one week. The cost ranges from the driver pay which includes either a percentage of
winnings or for upper level drivers, a salaried pay, to miscellaneous items such as various parts,
motors, and the travel expenses. Many people dont realize how much a race team really costs,
but each of the individual costs add up to a much bigger figure, ranging somewhere around
$400,000.

NASCAR has been a popular sport for many viewers for many years now. It is actually viewed
in over 150 countries all around the world. Many people would think that the design of the logo
has a hidden meaning of some sort, but when researched, one will find out that the logo was
really just designed to catch peoples eyes. The slanted letters give the words a moving effect
like they are travelling across the lines. Simply put, NASCAR wanted people to see and
recognize their logo, and for it to stand out.

NHRA held its first race in 1953. Since then, the sport that is drag racing has grown to heights
that were never imagined, and reached popularity that was never expected. The NHRA
organization is currently one of the largest motorsports organizations in the world, with nearly
80,000 members. Unlike NASCAR, the cars for the NHRA Drag racing are modified with bigger
motors and greater safety measures.
