Dear National Geographic Communications Department,
This letter is to express my interest in your job posting for Specialist,
Communications (Licensing & Products) (5003). With my strong writing
background, as well as my excellent people skills, I feel that I could be
a strong asset to your communications team. I am currently a
development intern for Partnership Chattanooga, a nonprofit
organization in which I interview locals, research, and write.
I have a background in writing with plenty of editorial work in college,
more specifically the pieces I have written for Partnerships blog,
academic writing, as in pieces for classwork at my university,
informational writing on social issues such as Teen Dating Violence
Awareness, Sexual Assault Awareness, Adoption and Foster Care
Information, and writing for social media outlets such as Partnerships
Facebook, Twitter, and picture taking for their Instagram. I work well
under pressure and make deadlines. I am a people person, and with
this job that is a vital quality to have.
With excellent organizational skills, a strong worth ethic, and the ability
to work in a team-oriented and self-directed environment, I make up
for what I lack in this fields experience. I would love to hear more
about this job, as well as other opportunities National Geographic has
