The swimmer lateral method is a conventional radiology examination that has goal

to see an abnormalities in the lower section of cervical spine caused by a muscle

shift or spine. But this method is rarely done in other hospital, so the writer is
interested in researching why in the cervical examination spasm cases do a lateral
swimmer and writer want to know the results according to the procedure in
radiology installation of Halmahera surgery hospital Bandung.
The method used in this research is an observation research method that
descriptive by case study approach to be more aware of cervical examination
swimmer lateral method with spine spasm clinical.
From the research obtained that the lateral swimmer method is different with lateral
projectionbecause in this swimmer method can view the image of cervical distal and
thoracal proximal clearly without any superpotition with shoulder
