Beecknack Elementary School Principal Taylor Shupp has been a student teacher in my 4th grade classroom for a total of eight weeks. She has done a fantastic job assisting me in teaching our 28 student classroom. The students love Miss Shupp and she has established a great rapport with all of the students and the staff. The students feel very comfortable talking to Miss Shupp and asking her for any help that the students need. She does a great job helping those students who struggle with certain subjects, and accommodating the needs of all the students, including the learning support students. Miss Shupp takes the time to learn each student's specific needs and helps them achieve their goals in learning new things. Her previous experience with children of all different ages has really shown in her ability to connect and interact with the students. Aside from her wonderful character, she has the experience of grading assignments and creating lessons to meet the school curriculum along with implementing the new Common Core State Standards, while adding in her own little creative twist. She is very organized, has great time management skills, so no instruction time is lost, and is flexible in making last minute changes. She is a positive role model, and she strives to succeed at anything that she sets her mind to. Miss Shupp will go above and beyond to help any child succeed and learn to their fullest potential.
