Job Shadow Reflection

I decided to job shadow a PBX Operator at the Sheraton New Orleans Hotel on
Canal Street. A PBX Operator handles and directs all calls that come through the
hotel, transfer calls to the correct individual or department, and answer basic
questions guest may have about the business; the job is pretty laid back and easy,
but it is a lot to learn. During this experience I learned how to deal with multiple
personalities and attitudes, some guest were nice and polite and some, not so
much, but you as the worker must remain humble no matter the guest attitude. I
would not mind working as a PBX Operator and because of this Ive decided that Im
going to minor in hospitality in college.
