Reasoning for In The Media project

How RAVE incorporated Media into their


interventions

It is probable that experiences with words in many informative contexts will be complex,
flexible, and nuanced. This will help learner accept only the most relevant connection it can
support to help understand newly encountered context.

Students allotted pointed for discovering academic vocabulary words from rave lessons in
non-school books or media. Given 2 reward points; 10 reward points=various reinforcements
(homework pass etc.)

What students discovered through exercises

Academic vocabulary was everywhere and easy to find. Made it easy for students to
participate and receive points.

Students became more comfortable understanding and using academic vocabulary because
they had seen if in various contextual situation and subjects.
