Dear First Lady,

I am a Student at Miami Dade College working in research regarding nutrition. I know
that you have put in great effort in the topic in America today. For example, your nutrition
program that involved plates to teach portion control was very helpful and necessary for
this country. Nutrition has been and will always be an important topic because it is no
secret at a large percentage of Americans dont know much about proper nutrition.
Having a healthy nutrition not only helps you maintain an excellent performance at
school, but can help you have energy to perform any skills or task. Its proven that a
proper and healthy choice can benefit the persons lifestyle.
Although your efforts have been helpful and fruitful, I would like you to reconsider that
there be more done in America about nutrition. Today in America, the most impacted
population is those with low income. Its our responsibility to create more programs that
helps familys necessities. Getting a proper nutrition is fundamental for a prosperous
future in America. Creating awareness in school, homes, and government programs can
help bring awareness of the intake of nutrients into our bodies.

I would like to thank you for making nutrition a relevant topic in America today. Your
efforts have made a difference in lives today and we should strive to try to continue the
efforts to make sure that all American care about nutrition.

Thanks for your consideration,

Brinny A. Ramirez
