Philosophy of Education Nashayla Whitten 1/20/2015 ‘The task of being an effective teacher is becoming more and more challenging as times progress. My philosophy of education is that all students are motivated in the classroom to learn, My classroom will be a place where my students build upon their knowledge and self-esteem through motivation. All children arc capable of learning, if they have the proper motivation, environment, and effective teachers on their side. Motivation is the key to successful students. I will encourage, motivate, and instill confidence in each and every one of my students throughout my instruction. If teachers motivate students to learn, they can ignite in their students an everlasting desire to gain knowledge. To ‘motivate them to lear, I bring enthusiasm to the classroom through my teaching techniques and personality. My desks will be broken up into groups to develop a collective, teamwork driven ‘environment, Through different assessments each person in the groups will have certain roles. This teaches them accountability, independence, teamwork, and leadership skills. In result, the students will be motivated and will develop a self-driven confidence. Twill also provide a learning environment that is collaborative and dynamic and creates opportunities for student-discovered knowledge with an emphasis on learning the needs of my students. The classroom should be a place of freedom, Students should have the freedom to learn, freedom to express themselves as they sce fit, and freedom to be creative. The environment must welcome new ideas, creativity, and originality. Students will be inspired to be themselves. Although freedom will be prominent in the classroom, an appropriate description of the expectations for student behavior during instruction and non instructional routines will be posted and exercised daily. There will also be a description of consequences posted if one gets out of hand. I want to create a classroom that is also safe learning environment for all. If students do not feel sufe in my classroom, whether it is emotionally, physically, or socially, learning can decrease. It is important to me that my students, as well as their parents, other teachers, administrators, and people in the community, see me as someone they can approach, who will be fair, supportive and beneficial to all. ‘The teacher’s job will be to push students and motivate them. It is the teacher's job to ‘pull out full potential that the student may not see and use that to inspire them to be great. As an educator, I plan to maintain an appropriate record-keeping system to measure the students? progress, achievements, and behavior, I believe that once a child can see their capabilities, the sky will become the limit for their dreams and aspirations. It is the teacher that plants the seed. “The support of the parents and the community waters it. Communication with parents will attribute to the wellbeing of the child. Once the parent is aware of what is going on in the classroom they can support the teacher. My aim will be to get to know my students so I will learn their strengths and weaknesses. As the quarter progress, [ will keep tabs on all my children, taking notes on behavior and academic progress. When I lear the strengths and weaknesses of any students I will be able to better assist them where they need help. It is my duty to see that all my students arc being motivated; this is only fair to the students. They deserve my time and full attention in regards to their education, My philosophy of education is that all students have freedom in the classroom to learn, The classroom environment will welcome creativity and new ideas. 1 will encourage, motivate, and instill confidence in each and every one of my students. This confidence along with the knowledge taught will bring out the best in these students,
