+ LHAVE BEEN PLACED AT BROOKDALE ELEMENTARY SCHOOL WHICH IS LOCATED ON 394 BROOKDALE DRIVE,ORANGEURG SC 29115. | HAVE BEEN ASSIGNED TO MRS.NATASHA BERRY. MRS. BERRY IS A 5™ GRADE LANGUAGE ARTS AND HISTORY TEACHER. + THE SCHOOL SEEMS TO BE VERY STUDENT-DRIVEN. ALL THE TEACHERS, FACULTY, AND STAFF ARE ON ONE ACCORD TOWARDS ONE MISSION AND THAT IS TO HELP THEIR STUDENTS SUCCEED THROUGH HIGH TEST SCORES AND A GREAT DEAL OF CONTENT KNOWLEDGE SKILLS. THEY HAVE A COUNTDOWN BOARD TO TESTING FOR THE STUDENTS AND TEACHERS. EVERY MORNING THEY ANNOUNCE IT TO REMIND STUDENTS EVERYDAY OF THEIR DRIVE FOR LEARNING ACHIEVING _ SUCCESS. THERE ARE 405 STUDENTS IN THE SCHOOL. THE STUDENT TO TEACHER RATIO CONSISTS — F 1:21 AND THERE ARE 25 TEACHERS IN ALL. & THE STUDENTS + THE STUDENTS IN THE CLASS ARE SMART FOR THEIR AGE GROUP. THERE ARE 22 STUDENTS IN THE CLASS. OUT OF THE 22 STUDENTS, TEN ARE BOYS AND TWELVE ARE GIRLS. THERE IS NO RACIAL DIVERSITY IN THIS PARTICULAR CLASS. FROM WHAT I OBSERVED, THERE ARE ABOUT FIVE STUDENTS OUT OF THE CLASS THAT DEMAND A BIT MORE ATTENTION THAN OTHERS WHEN IT COMES DOWN TO THEIR ACADEMIC STATUS. SOME OF THESE DEFICIENCIES ARE A REFLECTION OF THEIR BACKGROUND AND SOME ‘ARE CAUSED BY LACK OF PARENTAL INVOLVEMENT. HOWEVER, THERE IS STILL A FEW THAT THAT SUFFER BECAUSE OF LAZINESS AND THE LACK OF DESIRE. THERE IS NO RACIAL/ETHNIC DIVERSITY IN THIS PARTICULAR CLASS. * AS YOU CAN SEE THE FIFTH GRADERS \4 STUDENT PERFORMAN AT THIS SCHOOL HAS REALLY IMPROVED THEIR GRADES IN ALL SUBJECTS SINCE 2012 ON THE PASS ASSESSMENT.
