It is good that these teachers have this motivation however I feel that there needs to be lessons taken
from what these teachers go through to build that motivation so that it may be shared with educators
who do not go through this program but still look for this motivation.

By teachers understand what skills will be needed for a test as opposed to just trying to match the
content, students will gain more knowledge and preform better.

As educators we need to look past just getting high test scores. No doubt this focus on the scores of
our students comes from NCLB but perhaps by making the content more meaningful and applicable to
the lives of students, they will preform better on tests without that being the dead set end goal.

By creating units and lessons that are more relevant to students where there is a clear cut connection
to their lives, students create deeper ties to the knowledge and will store this information in a more
permanent place.

How are teachers to create valuable lessons that are so intricate like these presented with so little time
and being forced to preform on every test shown? I will use this information to be sure that going into
my teaching years I will spend time creating a small goal of quality lessons at a time (3 or 4 depending
on lenght) so that I am improving my teaching piece by piece.

For some teachers the task of creating lessons that will be relevant to students and academically viable
may seem to difficult which creates a risk reward question for them to attempt to answer.
