The electrical area classification shall be determined by applying the guidelines and requirements of NFPA 70 and API RP 500 + When PLC's and associated control devices are mounted in enclosures, the type of enclosures shall comply with the area classification. + Enclosures shall be adequately sized to allow for replacement and maintenance of PLC equipment and associated control devices.
