Teacher and Student Objectives
Teacher transition from first piece to the second focus on a three-part split
Student continue the idea of call and response, singing in three parts
instead of two
Task Analysis

Continue stretching and releasing of tension, shaking out and muscles that
are tense (maybe stand/sit depending on what theyve done previously in
rehearsal)
Work on rhythmic motive that appears within the piece in all voices and
different verses
-chant rhythm on neutral syllable, then add text/phrases that it
appears

Have them do a full run of the piece after introducing the rhythmic idea and
respond to what we hear
Potential problems: baritone/bass split parallel motion, slight deviations
from the main melody isolate the different phrases
Call and response ideas cut offs (especially phrases that end with s)
Closure
Run the piece if time permits
Discuss what needs to be improved or what to work on for future rehearsals
