*The above estimates are based on the start-up costs of Beyond BSU. In the long-run however, it
is expected that the return both in terms of explicit and implicit savings would be greater than the
initial investment. The core curriculum requirements could be completed in a more timely
manner and be more attractive to transfer students. Expenses for faculty and adjunct professors
teaching within the core requirements would be reduced.
