Stage I Summer 2015

May 8:
Notify Core Curriculum Steering Committee (CCSC),
Student Government Association (SGA), and Registrar of
upcoming proposal for fall 2015
August 15 30:

Create community announcements, brochures, flyers, and

posters and email faculty, students, visiting lecturers and
alumni to inform them of the new core curriculum

Stage II Fall 2015

Sept. 1 30:

Contact SGA to hold open forums

October 1 31:

Contact faculty, staff, and admin. to hold open forums

November 1 15:

Hold joint open forum for all BSU community members

November 16 30:

Meet with V.P. and President

December 1 31:

Make contact with local businesses as potential partners

for some application courses

Stage III Spring/Summer 2016

January 1 31:
Create survey, get I.R.B. approval, then administer
survey to BSU community and wait for responses
February 1 28:

Analyze feedback and update proposal

March 1 May 31:

Bring updated proposal to C.C.S. C. and other

government bodies for approval

June 1 30:

Offer training and informational sessions to faculty

members who brainstorm course goals based on the
College that they are affiliated with

July 1 August 31:

Faculty create new course summaries

Stage IV - Fall 2016

Sept. 1 Dec. 15
Stage V- Spring 2016
January 15- March 15:

New courses approved by proper governances

Catalogue revised and published for spring registration;
partner with businesses for fall classes 2016.
