Dear Judges:

My name is Casey Boswell. I am currently 17 years old and am a junior attending St

James High School. I am currently in JROTC and am a member of the Rifle Team as
well as having achieved the rank of Staff Sergeant. I was born in Florence SC but
was raised in Myrtle Beach since I was about four years old. I am going to miss all of
my friends once I graduate but I have enjoyed my years in high school.
My decision to research Dissociative Identity Disorder was partially based on a small
amount of knowledge prior to the research, and fueled by my curiosity and intrigue
on the subject of dissociative disorders. I have learned through my research that
there are more dissociative disorders than I had originally thought, and that they
are much more complicated than I had expected. Having this knowledge may help
me in college as I plan to minor in psychology.
The process of learning and researching as well as putting the knowledge into
actual words was challenging at times because of my tendency to procrastinate.
However, it was a good challenge to help me set off on a path to overcome this.
This project has also affected my junior year in that it took more time out my day
that might have been spent in other ways, such as staying after school for a class or
studying for one of those classes.
Thank you for your time and for watching and listening to my presentation
Sincerely,
Casey Boswell
