Name Tells Lot About You
The topic we have got for this short research project is the baby name. I do not have any prior
knowledge about naming in the U.S, therefore it was interesting to see those bunch of different names
listed in books.
I started looking for the similarities and difference about baby naming between the U.S and
Japan because I know we also have books for baby name. Then I found out different countries have
different rules and regulations for naming. Some countries are very strict about baby naming. On the
other hand, some countries like the U.S let parents to name their kids almost whatever they want. For
instance, you can name your kids whatever you want as long as no more than forty-six alphabetical
letters.
I would like to invest more about why these differences were happened and why countries
make rules and regulations for naming. Although you can change your name later on if you do not like
the one your parent named, I believe our name is part of the personality. Moreover, regardless of weather
your parent considered you might be judged your personality by your name or not, it would happen and
the opposite way is also true. Therefore no matter where you live or how many rules and regulations you
should follow to name your kids, it is important to take into account how your childrens name affects on
their life.
