Job opportunities go up in the engineering, procurement and construction sector

There are lots of opportunities for design, construction, procurement and qualit y control professionals, say experts. With the government's impetus on accelerat ing investment in infrastructure projects across oil & gas, power, telecom and w ater, job creation process has been revived in EPC (engineering, procurement and construction) sector. According to RecruiteX, the TimesJobs.com recruitment ind ex, incremental workforce is projected at a rate of more than 3 million per year . The demand for engineers is expected to grow with civil, structural, mechanica l, subsea and offshore specialisations. Alain Souny, India HR director and group HRIS head & VP, Technip, said that there are many opportunities for design, con struction, procurement (buyer, project manager), quality control professionals i n the EPC sector.
