Objectives:
Students will be able to solve quadratic equations by completing the square.
Methods:
Students will have watched the eduCanon video and answered the embedded questions
the previous day.
In class, students will work in cooperative learning groups to solve quadratic equations
by completing the square.
Teacher will facilitate, answer questions, and observe to check for understanding.
At the end of the class, students will check their own answers, and student volunteers will
answer their peers questions by working the problems on the board.
Assessment:
Teacher will check for understanding throughout the class period by observing students
working with their peers.
Students will self-assess. They will check the solutions to the problem they worked in
class, and the teacher will collect the assignment to check for mastery of the lessons
objective. Teacher will use the information to guide instruction.
