To Whom It May Concern:
I am very delighted to write a letter of recommendation for Karen Sanchez who is
applying for a teaching position at your school. I am Karens student teaching supervisor for a
5th Grade class at Lulu Walker Elementary School and am very impressed with Karens
professional growth and performance since I first began working with Karen in January. From
my observations of Karen, I can truly say that she has positively embraced the challenges that
accompany teaching, including those challenges that are uniquely present in Title I schools.
Karen is wonderfully situated to be an outstanding teacher. She keeps her students
engaged by providing a variety of activities that help her students to meet or exceed the daily
objectives. Karen easily facilitates one-to-one instruction as well as small group and whole class
instruction. She is very adept at lesson planning and design where she incorporates media forms
to pique her students interest.
As Karen approaches the end of her student teaching, she has convinced me that she is
ready to be a teacher. She attends all faculty meetings, takes advantage of professional
development opportunities, and collaborates regularly with her mentor teacher.
I am convinced that Karen will be a wonderful addition to your teaching staff. She is
professional and personable. It is her nature to go the extra mile to provide the needed support
for her students.
I strongly recommend Ms. Karen Sanchez for a teaching position without reservations.
