Saint Joseph Pastoral Council Meeting

The Saint Joseph Pastoral Council will meet at 6 pm on Wednesday, January 28 at 1345
N. Sixth Street to discuss their agenda and possible bylaws.
According to stjosephdio.org, the Pastoral Council consists of the Community Builders,
Education, Executive, Liturgy, Social Concerns, and Stewardship committees.
Jerry Bauman serves as chair of the Pastoral Council, Mike Geist Vice Chair. Heads of
individual committees are Beth Murphy, Community Builders, Karen Siciliano, Education,
Debra Geist, Liturgy, Mike Geiger, Social Concerns, and Diane Best, Stewardship.
Community Builders works to develop Christian community within the parish. The
Education committee, recently renamed the Faith Enrichment Committee, attends to the
continuing educational needs of the parish community, including adult religious education and
faith development. The Liturgy Committee coordinates and focuses on worship and prayer in
the parish. The Social Concerns Committee tends to the social needs and concerns of the parish
and larger community. The Stewardship Committee looks after and coordinates parish resources,
the Executive Committee oversees all individual committees.
Members at Large are Jane Niedzielski, Tom Niedzielski, Mary Thoele, Mike Thoele,
and Matthew Power. Other members are Sister Mary Ellen Backes, O.S.U., Sister Brendan
Jacoby, O.S.U. RCIA, Paul Johnson, and Larry Day, Deacon.
