Reflection for ENGL 106I Course
Dear reader,
I am Yifan Wei, a student of ENGL 106I course. My instructor is Kyongson Park. At the
beginning of this semester, I had expectation that I would learn format writing in this course.
Through whole semester learning, finally, I learned how to use MLA and APA style to write
format paper. Under Ms. Parks instruction, I finished five projects this semester. The third
project, interview report, was my favorite project because in this project I needed to
communicate with American students, which could cultivate my courage and improve my oral
English speaking. The hardest project that I thought was the final project, argumentative paper. I
must combine all the information that I collected this semester. This task was pretty tough but
eventually I completed it. My peer review was good. And through peer review, I learned that
different people had different ideas and it was hard to imagine what others were thinking.
Sometimes writer would consider that his article was perfect but reader would think the
information in the article was not clear enough. I also met this problem. My article always
confused reader but through my hard work, the situation turned better. I thought that I reached
my goal in this course.
