Readers Theater for El nuevo Houdini

Since we have finished reading the book, we are now going to act it
out. In your groups, you will write scripts based on the two chapters that
your group is assigned. Given that each presentation should only last 3-7
minutes, you cannot include everything that is in the book, so include only
the main events of each chapter. When you write the script, make sure to
include as many of the vocabulary words of the two chapters as you can
and to underline these words. Also, make sure that each person has around
the same speaking time when your group is writing lines for the characters.
Sr. Mockabee and Srta. Liao are available to help with your script while you
work. You may want to have them check the skit before practicing it. Then,
practice the skit and use appropriate props. Que se diviertan!
Expectations:
1. All of the main events of the two chapters are included.
2. Nearly all of the vocabulary of the two chapters is included.
3. The grammar (present, preterite, and imperfect) are used and formed
correctly.
4. Every student participates, and speaking time is equally distributed.
5. Sufficient props are used to act out the chapters.
6. The length of the presentation is between 3-7 minutes.
