Identify 3 terms related to each theme of the unit (nationalism, industrialization,
imperialism). Write a sentence for each as to why/how it is connected to that
theme.
1. Revolutions(nationalism) Society wanted pride in their country, they wanted freedom and
human rights. By showing their patriotism and fighting in wars for it,
they proved they had nationalism.
2. Westernize(industrialization) To westernize or modernize was the clever thing to do so different
countries could keep up with the rest of the world. This industrial
revolution happened in the west and like dominos, the rest of the world
started replicating the new mechanic evolution.
3. Colonization(imperialism) With the British colonies in America, it created an imperialism.
Eventually, the colonies broke of and became independent and then
started expanding throughout the northern continent. They developed
America as it is known with some countries under protection of
America but still a separate union.
