This minor provides information about the relationship of education and its impact on society in the

U.S. and Internationally. There are opportunities to investigate the state of education in the 21st
Century, especially for its potential in promoting justice in social, economic, and political milieus
nationally and internationally. Students interested in careers in policymaking, sociology, educational
advocacy in non-profits or non-governmental organizations, university research, and entrepreneurship
will benefit from this minor in education.
