I am writing this letter to tell you of my interest in the Nurse Internship and to inform you of my
skills that would qualify me for this job. I have work experience, educational experience and
volunteer experience that all make me a great candidate for this position.
I am applying for this position because I believe I would be a great fit for the job. My
experience in Student Government, Ag Leadership, and Junior Leadership Merced have helped
me gain many important skills for this job that will help better your clinic. Through these
courses I have learned how to represent myself in a professional environment. I have also
developed the very important skill of how to work with different types of people and ways to
communicate with each. I am very personable which helps people feel important and will
encourage them to work with this company. I have completed my pre-requisites in the nursing
program at Point Loma Nazarene University, in which I learned the skills necessary to care for
your patients with the correct procedures as well as with a gentle touch. I was a volunteer at
Mercy Medical Hospital for 10 months in which I discharged patients, signed in visitors and
assisted nurses in paperwork as well as transporting patients. From this experience I learn the
way in which to operate in accordance to the health care industry. I learned how to be friendly
and positive in a place that some people wouldnt consider a positive place. I have developed the
skill of being loving and gentle to patient that are in pain. I know that all these skills that I have
aquired would greatly benefit your medical center.
