Provisions

1.0

Fire Protection Products intended for sale and use in Qatar in

performance of QCDD Life Safety a requirement shall be approved for
such use by the QCDD.

2.0

Approval is obtained as follows.

A Product Review Application Form is completed for each product or
system

Data sheets or product catalogues which fully describe the product

shall be attached to the application form.

At least one test certificate from a QCDD approved 3rd party testing
laboratories shall be listed on the application form complete with
reference number and a copy shall be attached. In the case of
sprinklers, at least two certificates from different laboratories are
required.

3.0

QCDD FSEs shall review the application for completeness, correctness

and currency.

4.0

In the event that any of the review criteria is not fulfilled, the application
will be returned.

5.0

On verification of fulfillment of the criteria in 3.0, the QCDD will issue

approval of the product.
