If I were a principal, I’d hire her for any grade level in a heartbeat, She is creative, energetic, professional, and organized. Jackie has successfully student taught in a second grade classroom at Wasatch Elementary in the Salt Lake School District. She is well versed in meeting the needs of all leamers. Upon receiving her Bachelor's degree, she will also receive her ESL endorsement. Having been at Escalante and Edison prior to student teaching, Jackie has designed and implemented numerous lessons that meet the needs of diverse leamers. Jackie is outstanding in every area of teaching! She has met all the program requirements with exceptional success. When I met Jackie a year ago and became her university instructor/supervisor, I knew I would be dealing with a confident, ready-to-go type of candidate. After spending a year with Jackie, she has proven me right. Jackie was ready for her own classroom this time last year. Now, after a year of student teaching, Jackie is beyond capable of handling any classroom situation at any grade level. Jackie’s classroom management is calm and confident. She states clear expectations before each activity, quickly comments on students who are showing positive behaviors, and then, when needed, calmly takes care of any problems that occur. While in Jackie’s classroom, probler rarely happens. I believe this is due to her engaging and meaningful curriculum and her pos approach to management. ive I've been impressed with every lessons I’ve seen Jackie teach. Last fall semester, Jackie helped her second graders decide upon and implement a service learning project which became a very successful learning opportunity for her students. Through this service learning project, Jackie integrated math, literacy, and social studies. Her students were always very engaged. This semester, Jackie’s students are involved with an informance. With Jackie’s background in professional ballet, she is very comfortable helping her students lear dance. At this point, I am excited for Jackie to have her own classroom. Her enthusiasm about teaching and learning has inspired me. 1 thoroughly enjoy knowing Jackie and I'm thrilled to have someone as positive and professional as she is join the teaching force.
