Title: what objects are attracted by magnets?
Pre-requisites:
No prerequisite
Rationale: To know what objects are attracted by magnet and what objects are not.

Objectives:
- General objective (aim): To learn about the magnet and how it works.

Specific objectives (learning outcomes):


Skill: At the end of the lesson students should be able to
1) Differentiate between objects attracted by magnet and objects that arent.
2) Identify the way how magnets work (magnets can move objects from a distance
without touching them)

Instructional Procedures:
Session 1.
Materials needed: -Magnet
- Plastic ruler
- Paper clip
- plastic cup
- pen
- pencil
- paper
- eraser
- ruler( made up of metals)

Introduction:

Introduce the tittle of the lesson to the students.

Ask the students if they know the meaning of the word magnet

Body:

I will start the lesson by asking some students to distribute magnets to their peers.
Students will perform an experiment which is putting a magnet beside the things that are
found in their pencil case. Like pencil eraser
I will draw a table in the board and try to classify materials the magnet attracted and
those who did not.
After doing this experiment I will ask students what do they observe, and what do they

conclude.
Students will come out to the result which is the magnet attracts objects that are made
from metals.
I will perform an experiment in-front of the students, which is putting a pencil clip on the
back of the paper, and a magnet on the other side of the paper.
I will ask the students about what do they observe.
Then I will move the magnet, and ask the students about what do they see.
Students will find out the conclusion, which is magnet can move objects from a distance.

At the end I will distribute work sheets to the students.


I will the students 7 minutes to solve the work sheets.

Closure:

I will ask the students about the answers.

Students will be chosen randomly.

After solving the worksheet with the students I will make a quick revision for the main
concepts of the lesson.
