Purpose:

This activity is designed to give students a chance to put

their knowledge and thoughts onto paper in the form of
a letter discussing revitalization to the Mayor.

Activity:

A letter to the Mayor discussing revitalization in

America and relate it to Hearts and Hands of Indiana.
Below are the requirements for the letter to the Mayor:

1. Give a brief overview of Indianapolis, focusing on abandoned or run-down homes and then

describe what Hearts and Hands of Indiana does for the city.

2. Use three keywords, such as revitalization and sustainability, and relate them back to

Hearts and Hands of Indiana.

3. Give 3-5 facts about the environment.

4. Why he/she should care about what Hearts and Hands of Indiana is doing.
