Curriculum-Based Math Probes: Probes are timed samples that assess skill accuracy and
fluency.
When students are fluent in completing a skill, they are more likely to remember
it, become more automatic in performing it, and are better able to master more
advanced skills.
When students can complete math skills quickly, they are more likely to perform
at a level comparable to their grade peers, which enables them to be more
successful in inclusive class settings.
