Dear Professor Erturk,
I would like to apply for the position Student ENGL 2116-090, which was
advertised during your first class. Indeed, I find myself qualified for the
advertised position due to my need to improve my English languages
especially with technical writing skills. Moreover, I have the experience and
the knowledge which I can share with my classmates.
Ive been in the US for about 2 years and a half and was lucky to find a job at
UNC Charlotte as an Assistive Technology Specialist in the Office of Disability
Services. My work involves a lot of technical writing where I write reports
such as accessibility audit reports, How-to instructions, and guidelines.
Sometimes I get feedback that my sentences are ambiguous and cant be
understood, and sometimes I see recipients have misunderstood my
statements. Therefore, you could see how I am the perfect match to the
position and how important its that I learn from you.
If I get accepted for the position, you will find me interacting with my
classmates helping them whenever needed sincerely and with respect.
Furthermore, I have the technical skills that I can share with them. I hold a
Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science and Master of Science
degree in Engineering Systems Management with concentration in
Information Technology. I also have a progressive experience in fields related
to Information Technology, Instructional Technology, and Assistive
Technology.
My Information Technology and Instructional Technology experiences were
gained at American University of Sharjah (AUS) where I served as a Senior IT
specialist working in computer labs classrooms. Support faculty, students

and other staff members. On the other hand, I gained my Assistive

Technology experience here at UNC Charlotte at the Office of Disability
Services where I help student with disability access information.
Im a team player, accountable, and interact with people positively and
respectively. It would be my pleasure to be part of your course as a student
