Day 1 in Chanchamayo

This was the first day of the trip, this day was a little bit sad because all of us
had to say goodbye to our family, the trip would last 6 days and during that
time we could only talk to them through phone calls. First we talk together in a
devotional, we pray to God for our good in the journey. Then we enter to the
bus and we say goodbye to our parents through windows. We go out at 6
o'clock.
In the bus we talked about how serious our trip, we shared laughs too, and had
a good time. Teachers were given the relevant guideline for our work trip. As
we needed to have our phones to call our parents, teachers asked us to name
so we put are not lost when you save it in the box.
First we passed Matucana at 12 o'clock , then go through Ticlio at 2 o'clock
where some began feeling ill, had nausea, headache etc.. After passing Ticlio,
arrived at "La Oroya" at 3'o clock in which we could already see the people of
that area. We finally reached the Merced at 5 o'clock, it made a stop for some
data we complete our coursework and for the lunch, each student had to bring
money for lunch.
The Kimo camp was across the river Chanchamayo is why we had to traversing
a river in Huaro, which was a platform carrying luggage and people. Passing
this climb to the camp, it was very stressful because the luggage was very
heavy and we had to use flashlights because the sunlight had gone. In Kimo,
teachers were responsible for distributing the cabins. At the end of the day we
had a reflection of all we look for the day. Finally, we ate in a dining room, all
together, each had his bag of cutlery and plates, the persons in charge of the
kitchen served rice with chicken and potatoes and juice.
