Expansion has been a main focus of countless chvlzations throughout histor.
Manifest Destiny, a 19th Century concept is defined as the belief that the expansion of
the US throughout the American continents was both justified and inevitable.
Expansion, defined as extension of a state's territory by encroaching on that of other
nations, pursued as a political strategy is very different than exploration. One can see a

Exploration of the world was a necessity at the time. With much of the land of the
world being uninhabited and undiscovered, the only way to discover these lands was to ""

a constant theme of conflict between the native Blackfeet tribe and the Napikwans oo

what defines an “advanced civilization”. Some may define this as a people with more

disturbing the traditions and cultural ways of the Native people. These Indian tribes
were not inhabiting all of the land in the state, tet alone the country. This left more than

exploration, but both had been given proper conditions to be achieved in a more
affinitive nature than had actually occurred.
