E-Portfolio Response
As we went through this class, I can say that I have become more aware of how authors
write their words on paper that can cause a lot of influence that I did not know was hidden within
the text that they write, it depends on what type of theory they choose to base their writing of that
impacts us the reader.
With this class I got to read all types of literature that I usually would not have taken the
time to read outside of this class. It showed me that each genre we covered hit all types of subject
in different manners whether it be through poems or a short story. I can now say that I feel a lot
more confident when it comes to analyzing texts in literature with having a lesson or human
knowledge to be learned by the reader.
Now that I know how to look at texts and take the time to analyze and look at the
underlying message or manner that the author has written in, I catch myself not only reading at
face value but I also take a moment to see what they are trying to convey.
I chose my final essay to upload to my eportfolio. I felt that this is when I felt most
comfortable breaking down a short story and analyzing it correctly with many ways to look at it.
