I am writing in response to the opening for box office supervisor at the Natural History Museum
of Utah. I am incredibly excited that the NHMU is hiring. It is one of my favorite places in Salt
Lake City. I volunteered as a field trip facilitator at the museum when it first opened, and I
absolutely loved the time I spent there!
I have spent the last six years at Snowbird Ski Resort, including the last two and a half years in
supervisory positions. My current position is front desk supervisor at The Lodge at Snowbird.
My experience and training in the hospitality industry have given me excellent customer service
skills, and the responsibilities of my current position are very similar to the requirements of the
open position.
In addition to working the front desk as a shift supervisor, I also train the staff and audit our daily
sales and room billing. It is my responsibility to make sure staff are entering ticket sale and
billing correctly, and to make sure all procedures and protocols are followed.
I am very confident that I have the skills and experience to excel at the NHMU, and I would love
the opportunity to interview for this position. I would be absolutely ecstatic if I could work for
the museum full-time. I hope to hear from you soon!
