Dear Andrew,
Hi, my name is Taylar Byrne. I dont have any nicknames, so you can call me
Taylar. I am from Southern California, in a town called Chino Hills. I am about one and a
half hours away form Los Angeles, and about two hours from San Diego. I decided to
come to UNC Charlotte because I had a softball scholarship offer. Another reason that I
chose UNC Charlotte is because I did not want to stay and go to school in California, I
wanted to get out of California and have an adventure of my own. This semester, I expect
to learn new and better ways to write. One worry I do have is that I do not feel that I am a
good writer. I love to read! I enjoy reading when it interests me. I do not have any talents
when it comes to writing. One struggle I have when it comes to writing is getting started,
and finding something to write about. One interesting fact about myself is that I am fluent
in American Sign Language, ASL, and I am also a member of the American Sign
Language National Honor Society.
One quote from the syllabus that really stood out to me was, Anything is
possible if youve got enough nerve. By J.K. Rowling. I believe that this quote means
that you can do anything you want as long as you have the confidence to go out and try it.
You put this on the syllabus to encourage us to be daring, and have the nerve to try new
things in our writings, and what we write about.
At this moment I do not have any questions for you.
