To Whom It May Concern,
Tam writing this letter in support of our current student teacher, Ryan Hiltz. Ryan joined our team in
the behavioral program at the Winslow Junior High this January, and will soon be leaving us as he
pursues a position as a special education teacher.
During his time here, Ryan has helped collaborate with our team on a variety of issues including
creating behavioral plans, developing personalized lessons, learning the procedures and protocol of
special education within the public school system, as well as helping manage the day-to-day needs of
our students. His strengths in de-escalation, pre-teaching, and behavior management have made him a
valuable asset to our program.
Having worked at Sweetser’s day treatment program in Belfast prior to joining us, Ryan came to
‘Winslow with a wealth of experience and knowledge. His keen eye and inquisitive nature, however, has
allowed him to personally grow and amass new techniques and procedures, as well as developing an
even deeper understanding of our students and their needs.
I believe Ryan Hiltz has incredible potential to continually improve his efforts, as well as to
consistently implement and communicate effectively the strategies that he has successfully been using
thus fat. [look forward to seeing Ryan take the next step in his educational journey.
Sincerely,
po
