Resume of the pit and the pendulum of Edgar Allan Poe

The tale the pit and the pendulum, of Edgar Allan Poe, tell the agony of a prisoner
man in Spanish inquisition. A man was sick and almost dead in agony when he is thrown in a
pitch black by an inquisitor. Almost dead in the floor, he could see when the men with black
costumes said about your death sentence. In the blackness room there was a pit in the middle.
All was darkness around the man. The prisoner stayed arrested for several days in a
darkness room. Sometimes he tried to touch the objects around and he realized that there was
something damp and hard in the middle of the dark room, he stayed with afraid. In your
agony, he said: I have died? But, when he felt his hands and feet, he realized that he was
alive and that all was a terrible reality.
Sometimes the inquisitors brought water and bread, but he was weak. He saw rats
around him. Something in the middle of the dark room was a pit. Also there was a pendulum
that moved down. He stayed with afraid of died, he stayed unconscious but he knew that there
was hope.
The days when he stayed in the blackness room, he was afraid of falling into the pit
and of the pendulum that moved upon it. Also there are enormous rats that coming out the pit.
Then he has had an idea: he took the meat and went on the ropes that bound him. Then the
enormous and hungry rats eat the ropes that bound him. He was free of the pendulum, but in
the hands of inquisitors again.
Then, he sees that have big fire eyes around him in the walls and that it was pressing
him to the pit. The hot walls were doing him to go to the pit and he thinks it's the end to
him.
But in the final moment, when he is about to fall into the pit, French soldiers save it and take
him of the darkness room. The inquisition was ended.
