eae Siror Madam, {tis my honor to recommend Hannah Day (hereinafter “Ms. Day”) fo the University of Note lowa Scholarship Application. As previous Head Cheerleading Coach atthe University of Norther loa, 1 have had the pleasure of knowing Ms. Day since her arvalon the squad in 2011 ‘Ms, Day's dedication tothe UNI Cheerleading Program is unmatched. In being apart ofthe program, Ms Day has dedicated herse'o cheering onthe Men's Basketball Team, Women’s Basketball Team, Football Team, Wrestling Team, Volleyball Team, Women's Soccer Team, and Women's Swimming & Diving Team. In ation to cheering on each of the aforementioned spots teams, Ms. Day attends practice twice a week, participates in strength taining and conditioning twice a week, attends community athletic fundraisers and evens, and volunteers over thity hours of her ime per school year on behalf of the program. As the UNI Cheerleading Program i nt funded, Ms. Day also dedicates addtional time to fundraise for her gear and camp. The dedication Ms. Day has consistently and reliably displayed tothe LUNI Athletic Program serves as testimony to her deicaton tothe University of Northem low. In addition to her dedication the UNI Cheerleading Program and UNI Athletic Program, Ms, Day i 8 member who displays strong leadership skills onthe team. Ms. Day's strong listening skills, ‘dependability, professionalism, and ability to problem solve in stressful situations have been qualities that her fellow teammates and myself have respected and admired during he ime on the tear, During times of confit, Ms. Day does not hesitate to provide a solution or a compromise inorder to solve the situation, Ms, Day's leadership is so valued tat her fellow touggates voted her as thei captain and leader forthe current season. As her coach, valued Ms. Day’s ability to delegate without being ‘imperious and commanding, as well a the notable aforementioned qualities that she admirably posseses, 'Ms. Day's ability to balance her dedication tothe Cheerleading Program, he studies as a University student, and her job are noteworthy n addition to being fll ime student and a member of the ‘Cheerleading tam, Ms. Day coaches at Dolphin Gymnastics an average 20 hours each week plus the ‘additonal Saturday mes in which they compete. Ms. Day also works for over two hours every moring at Hudson Elementary in the interest of her pursuing major, Bachelors in History Education. In pte of the busy schedule she has, Ms. Day excels asa leader of the UNI Cheerleading Program, as wel as being dedicated student, coach, and teacher.
