J&S is dedicated to bringing the art of theatre to students and their families. Our mission is to create artistic education, performances, workshops, and academic programs for the community. Our mission is to encourage each student to explore creative possibilities and celebrate his or her own uniqueness in a non-competitive atmosphere. Ihave known Mary Elizabeth for several years. She was an active student in many of our productions and was a vital member of J&S Company Group, which was an audition only group of students who portrays the passion of theatre. She devoted many hours each week learning new dance routines and songs so we can entertain the community. During holidays, she performed at convalescent homes in Vacaville. She also performed at Merriment on Main at Vacaville's Christmas Lighting Ceremony. Whenever | ask for volunteers to entertain in the community or help with our younger students, Mary Elizabeth’s hand was the first one raised. also run a Summer Camps each year for students ages 4-12. Mary Elizabeth was a perfect match for becoming a staff member for two summer camps because of her passion for theatre, her maturity, and how she worked so well with our younger students. She was in charge of the creating the curriculum for the Harry Potter themed camp, and was responsible for the teaching and handling of the children along with a few other teen leaders at the camp. With such a large age span of children it took some effort to meet all of the children’s needs. The students adored her and always seem to have fun in her classes. Mary Elizabeth is a diligent worker who always came prepared every day, even donated some supplies to the camps. It is my pleasure to recommend Mary Elizabeth. She works very hard and demonstrates great leadership with her peers. She is extremely responsible and always organized.
