I decided to include this piece because I think it is a good representation

of my ability to integrate source work well. I had to write this paper for
my history course last semester. I chose my own topic, and I chose this
time period because I wanted to write about some of the first forms of
technology that created milestones after the Civil War era. This time
period was also being discussed in class when I chose this topic. The
entire process of creating this paper took about a month.
