Getting started with Autodesk Inventor HSM Express for CAMMania:
1.Review the instructions
2.Fill out your name and information
3.Press start to Begin part 1
Create the Job:
1. Create a JOB using the Model
Body.
Create the Toolpaths:
1.Face the part using the 3/4"
face mill.
2.Rough the 3 pockets with the
1/4 end mill using 2D
Adaptive Clearing.
3.Finish the 3 pockets with the
1/4" end mill using 2D Pocket
4.Rough the outside of the part with the 1/4" end mill using 2D Adaptive
Clearing.
a. Machine .010" past the bottom of the Part.
5. Finish the outside of the part with the 1/4" end mill using 2D Contour
a. Machine .005" past the bottom of the part.
6. Chamfer the outside of the part with the Chamfer mill using 2D Contour
7. Spot Drill, Drill and Tap the (4) 6-32 holes using the provided tools
8.Simulate the Job

a. Activate "Show Stock"

b. Run the Simulation.
c. SAVE YOUR FILE, AND MOVE ON TO STEP 2.
PART 2
STEP 2: Make Part/Toolpath Changes:

1. Change the overall width of the part to 3.5"
2. Unsuppress the added features




3. Regenerate the toolpaths
Create Setup Sheet and Post Process :
1.Create a setup sheet
2.Post Process the toolpath and for a HAAS Mill
3.Open the Backplot Window
SAVE YOUR FILE and YOURE DONE!!!
