Moving to the United States at a very young age was

a challenge. Learning a whole new language in 8

months apparently wasnt. After finishing my first
grade in Pennsylvania I moved to Phoenix Arizona,
where I reside currently. In middle school I finally
exited all of my English language learner classes.
This is where I got honor roll for both years. I was
also in National Juniors Honors Society and AVID.
AAVID pushes students to take more challenging
courses to prepare them for college and their future
careers. Coming into North canyon High school I
didnt know where to turn first. I had AVID in which I
continued throughout my HS career. I also go
involved in the Red Cross, invisible childrens club,
and the Key club. I was also secretary of AVID club
for 2 consecutive years. We raised more funds than
any other year before us. During my senior year I
took a college level professional EMT course where I
was later certified as an Emergency medical
technician. Graduating in 2013 I attended Grand
Canyon University for my freshman year. This is
where I got my first job at Wal-Mart at the electronics
center. 8 months and 1 black Friday later I got
another job at the JW Marriott desert ridge as pool
and recreation attendant. Only 6 months later I was
promoted to room service as an operator. This is
where I currently reside at this time I am a
sophomore at Arizona state university majoring in
human communication and minoring in media
analysis. In my sophomore year I met a lot of new
people and joined a fraternity. Who knows what
junior year has in store for me, I cant wait to
experience the future.
